The inaugural Singapore Inter-Lodge Masonic Paintball Championship, hosted by Centenary Lodge, was held on Sunday, Oct. 21 from 11am to approx. 1pm. The venue was Red Dynasty Paintball at Bottle Tree Park, 81 Lorong Chencharu (Yishun).
The event was hosted with the objective of raising funds to cover costs associated with the extension and alteration of the Freemasons Hall on Coleman Street. The existing Hall, dating from 1879, was in need of extensive restoration; while at the same time an entirely new wing was built, in order to position Freemasonry for sustained growth in Singapore. The significant cost – more than $7m – has been entirely self-funded by Freemasons, making fund raising events such as this important.

The inaugural Singapore Inter-Lodge Masonic Paintball Championship was a tremendous success thanks to 24 brave warriors (Freemasons, Candidates, family & friends) who took to the field of battle.
Representation from Lodges was strong – Zetland, Sir Stamford Raffles, St. George, Centenary, Eastern Gate. And we were ‘invaded’ by the French! They fought bravely to avenge Agincourt (and so much more), adding tremendously to the day. Thanks for coming guys.
Fraternity was strong, fun was had, Candidates got to see a different side of Freemasonry, and no-one lost an eye. So all in all, a great day (minor rain delays notwithstanding).
And who won on the day? Why, the Masonic Hall Board of course. Funds that were raised will be donated directly to the MHB.
Centenary Lodge thanks all the participants and the brethren who supported the event.
